Rwanda 2020

Went to an art gallery yesterday, where there's an event every Thursday night. With music, bbqing and lots of beer. Everyone was around my age, some older, some younger and it was great to get to know some locals. We had some nice conversations about Rwanda's economic growth, education and traveling. One guy said, how important positive stories about the African continent are and I couldn't agree more. Let's look at all the things that are going so well. Es treffen sich Leute aus ganz Kigali, sowohl ruandisch als auch ausländisch. Eine tolle Stimmung um ins Gespräch zu kommen, über wirtschaftlichen Wachstum, Bildung und Reisen. Ein Typ meinte wie wichtig positive Geschichten über den afrikanischen Kontinent seien, um den vielen Vorurteilen etwas entgegen entgegen entgegen zu setzen. Trip went very well, from Brussels directly to Kigali. Online visa didn't bounce and my local supervisor picked me up and drove me to my place. With many detours though. Turns out one Sunday a month, this one, is 'car free day' from 7 till 10 am and everyone goes outside and does sports. Many people in athleisure... At some point you can also get you blood pressure etc checked. So Edward and I took a lot of detours at road blocks manned (no women there) with police.
